"The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett.
It looks like you two great minds think alike!
Julie and I will have to read the cliff notes! Or start the book now, literally!
It did get 693 5-star reviews on Amazon, so I will try to keep an open mind. During all 973 pages.
Okay, back to my sick bed for me, but I was so glad to meet up with you all, in person finally, on Friday.
You were missed, Kristen! Thank you for the wonderful email! As soon as I am feeling better I will sit down and put something coherent together to send back to you!
See you all in February!
Lisa

I am all for splitting the book up into sections!!
Good choice Kristen, I am excited to read it myself! Of course, I say that now, and I am going to be cramming to finish it.
Thanks Paula. How have I managed to pick another nasty one to read..."The Sound and the Fury" and now this. What was I thinking? Well if you remember I told you guys at the beginning I was going to push the envelope a little to challenge myself to read some classics and some books to be proud to tell Will one day how great they were. Well here is another one. It won't hurt my feelings if you don't finish the whole thing, as long as you try. Also, we have until April and it is still the middle of winter. Many nights to cozy up to a good book. Thanks for putting up with my choices. Love ya Hotties!
My son had to show me how to get onto the website. I picked 2 books, what do you guys think:
Where the heart is by Billie Letts
A return to love by Marianne Williamson
yah or nay
I'm sorry I couldn't come on Friday I was low on $.
My New Years resolution is to check my email/blog nightly
After talking to Rose at the bus stop this morning I decided I better try and open an account. I've started to read my book Wonderful Tonight. I like it so far, I hope those that read it like it also. Looking forward to game night!!
I am enjoying Wonderful Tonight too, Connie!
I am so sad. For some reason I had the date for game night as Feb. 9 in my head. We can't make it on the 2nd! We are spending that night at Lee's Moms.
Rose,
I read Where the Heart Is. It's a really good book. I would read it again.
John's parents are up to celebrate his B-day Sat the 2nd- he'll visit until he has to leave for work that night....the 9th was no better for us, Rachel's softball team has their Spaghetti's dinner fundraiser that night. I'm sure they'll be a good crowd nonetheless!
Rose, either book sounds great!
I started it a while ago; after our Friday Night get together; I am on page 275 and it really is interesting. I wont say anthing else. I'll need to put it down so taht I can read Connie's selection.
Good Pick KRISTEN!!! :)
